What about Health and Safety?
Safety is a top priority in all aspects of our operations. Despite using the most advanced equipment on the market, we follow our strict safety proceedures to ensure every site, flight and operation is conducted safely, everytime. All flight data is recorded and analysed for improvement, we also send a mission report to our clients upon completion.
What does the operation look like?
Initially we would like to understand your requirements. Once you are ready to proceed, we will arrange a time and issue notices to appropriate parties. When we arrive, we will need to collect any access or product before beginning operations. We will require access to the property, or very close by and we will need undistrubed access for the duration of the work. After we complete, expect to see a mission summary via email.
Does the ground need to be dry?
No, since only our base station touches the gorund, the drones can fly above wet ground, thus preventing lengthy delays waiting for the ground to dry.
How much does it cost?
Depends, our pricing varies from job-to-job based on multiple factors. Generally work is priced per hectare, but this can vary depending on application rate, crop type, access conditions, setups and chemical costs. We would dicsuss any concerns at time of quoting.
Spot applications are usually a fixed charge-out, depending on the scope of work.
If you require assistance or emergency work, we're able to operate at a fixed initial cost, plus each hour thereafter.
Does weather affect operations?
Yes, we need to work around nature, particularly calm conditions help to prevent drift. We also are unable to operate in the rain for most operations, since the rain interferes with most product applications.
Is Air To Ground, CAA Certificated?
Air To Ground holds a Part 102 Certificate, which it gained through a bespoke operations manual. Our operations manual allows us to operate safely and legally outside of some Part 101 restrictions.
In addition to our organisational certificate, each of our operators are required to undergo various courses, including Advanced UAV Pilot Training, Chemical Pilot Rating, Ag Rating, Large Aircraft Rating and even our ground staff are required to have a Grow Safe Certificate, along with our internal training system.
